I may be one of the few people with the calendar entry:
Bugs Bunny official debut anniversary 07-27-1940 in A Wild Hare.
Probably the #1 reason we all thought carrots were good for bunnies (they are okay as a treat but they need unlimited hay and water; see "What is a Treat?").
