Update on warrior bun Nala

This is an update on the little wonderbun from this post:
PLEASE - Do NOT release a domestic rabbit outside into the "wild"

Nala now has a husbun, Marshmallow (wearing white)!

Thanks to all the GHRS volunteers, vets, fosters and adopters who helped make this happen - and do so every day for, unfortunately, a seemingly unlimited supply of abandoned and homeless bunnies. Nala was in horrific shape after being abandoned outside. She has recovered and has found her forever home and mate.

Some GHRS Shelter bunnies

Rabbits are crepuscular; they are primarily active during twilight (dawn and dusk). I was visiting during the afternoon, so it was still nap o'clock for them....
Amelia is a love sponge ... loves to be pet.

Bunny Monday Meme*day

This bunny's name is Isabel and her meme was submitted via the Rabbit Ramblings Facebook page.

I love this because when my son was very little, we would play hide and seek in the back yard. He'd put his hands on his eyes and press his face into the corner of the fence - using the same logic as Isabel! We would watch his little self squirm with delight and anticipation as we called his name "looking" for him.

Where did all those handsome new bunnies come from?

During the paint & carpet of the bunnies' area, a stray mirror found its way down to the bunnies' level. It attracted some bunspection.

Lucy was first to explore, as is her inquisitive nature.

Interestingly, Lucy also tried to find the
gorgeous new bunny by looking behind the mirror.
(Ethel and Bunya tried the same strategy.)

The mirror did not escape Bunya's inspection.

"You talkin' to me?"

Ethel also gave the mirror some attention.

Ethel: Where did everybody go?
Well, there's still that cute little white bunny over there.

Shaking up the bunny pen

Cleaning the bunny pen and took out everything to do so, even the bunny "funhouse". So, when we started to out it back together, we decided to mix it up a little. We think this keeps the bunnies more interested in their toys and hidey places. They seem to have had a fun day exploring the relocated castle (in the pen now) and funhouse (outside the pen). Even the maze haven and vacation villa, still located in the same old places, seem to be gaining renewed attention ... maybe just to verify they have not been changed.

Here's the rearranged pen now, or at least, for the moment. They love their princess bed from The Blissful Bunny so much, we had to leave that in the pen. And the wooden tunnel has already been used to gain access to the castle tower and to hop from the tower to the princess bed (and back).

Of course, you can check it out during the day on the BunCam.
