Dear Bunya, family and friends Hello - Thank You Thank You so much for all the information and entertainment you share!
Have enjoyed reading Rabbit Ramblings for years. Loves the Probios and would like to ask you / GHR Society -do you think the Probios Joint Support with Glucosamine and Chondroitin is good for older rabbits. Have some ten year old housebuns and Marshmallow will be 11 in October (like Bunya). We already use Oxbow joint hay tabs . Of course they get lots of water, hay , 'salads' and some pellets. Thanks again, from Ali P.S. just saw the big pic of lovely Lucy! She is so beautiful. I thought I remembered her blue/hazel eye. I wonder if she was a vienna marked rabbit. ?? Take Care :)
Sorry for the delayed reply. For some reason, notices to me that comments are posted have stopped. Had to delete a lot of spam. Anyway, I'm looking at the bag we bought and it says: Probios Digestions Support with Probiotics, Chewables for Horses. It says give 3-6 per day for a horse. Our bunnies get maybe a total of 1/3 to 1/2 of one per day. It is their favorite treat so we give a little piece in the morning and in the evening. If they don't eat it, someone is sick. If there is another type Probios, I am not familiar with it. If I can find out about it, I'll post another reply. Sounds like something Bunya could use.
(Sorry, I could not scare up a really definitive answer for you. The person I consulted did suggest only giving one joint supplement; in her experience, she has not been able to find anything to really help the buns.)
