Rescue Me

The shelters are flooded with wonderful, adoptable bunnies looking for their forever home.

Rescue me
Take me in your arms
Rescue me
I want your tender charm
'Cause I'm lonely
And I'm blue
I need you
And your love too
Come on and rescue me

Come on, baby, and rescue me
Come on, baby, and rescue me
'Cause I need you by my side
Can't you see that I'm lonely

Rescue me
Come on and take my heart
Take your love and conquer every part
'Cause I'm lonely
And I'm blue
I need you
And your love too
Come on and rescue me

Come on, baby, and rescue me
Come on, baby, and rescue me
'Cause I need you by my side
Can't you see that I'm lonely

Rescue me
Take me in your arms
Rescue me
I want your tender charm
'Cause I'm lonely
And I'm blue
I need you
And your love too
Come on and rescue me

(Come on baby)
Take me baby (take me baby)
Hold me baby (hold me baby)
Love me baby (love me baby)
Can't you see I need you baby
Can't you see that I'm lonely

Rescue me
Come on and take my hand
C'mon, baby and be my man
'Cause I love you
'Cause I want you
Can't you see that I'm lonely

Mmm-hmm (mmm-hmm)
Mmm-hmm (mmm-hmm)
Take me baby (take me baby)
Love me baby (love me baby)
Need me baby (need me baby)
Mmm-hmm (mmm-hmm)
Can't you see that I'm lonely

(No cost to you) Bunny Rescue Fundraising Challenge

Rabbit Ramblings will donate funds to rescue rabbits based on the net increase in RR page "Likes" on its Facebook page by May 31, 2017. New Likes = $1 [Starting Likes count is 13,131.]

The Easter bunny rejects/releases started on Easter and GHRS rescued 6 bunnies - no holiday break for the volunteers. Yesterday, another four were saved, but not before injuries. --------------->

If you have already "Liked" RR (thank you), then tell your bunny friends to "Like" RR on Facebook, re-post the challenge or "share" it from the RR Facebook page. (Non-bunny people will “un-like” it and that gets us nowhere.)

P.S. On this page, there's a "Like Us on Facebook" button near the top of the right hand column, under the Pages list. The donation is for increased "page likes" (versus individual posts on the Facebook page - but you can "Like" those, too). FB comments are welcome, as are pictures of your bunnies being cute or mischievous, things that lend itself to a caption/meme.

If you would like to make a donation yourself, that would be generous and wonderful. No amount is too small - it all adds up and helps save bunnies.
Thank You!

Maximum Likes donation = $1,000.

Snuggle Bunnies

After an exhausting "No live bunnies for Easter" campaign, Ethel and Bunya are relaxing in their favorite box (under their elevated princess bed).

Funny Bunny Monday Meme*day

Someone in the HRS FB Group page posted an Easter card sent by her sister. It highlights one risk of bunny ownership. (As noted in the comments there...) The detail shows the artist knows bunnies and/or bunny people: bunny collectibles we all have including bunny wallpaper, rabbit ears on TV, picture of bunny tourist on Easter Island, bunny staring at the electric cord, bunny under the sofa, bunny slippers...

Easter bunny napkin folding

Martha Stewart bunny napkin recipe
Materials: Cotton or linen napkins, starched

1. Fold starched napkin into thirds to form a rectangle. (If you're using a square napkin, you'll need to fold in half, and then fold in half again to get a long rectangular shape.)
2. Crease in half to create a center line for reference; fold top corners down along this line.
3. Fold up from bottom corners along dotted lines.
4. Bring left and right edges together on center line.

5. Flip upside down and over. Turn up bottom point.

6. To fasten: Fold left and right corners back; tuck one corner into the pocket of the other. Pull out bunny ears first; open up base.

If you are a little less formal, here's a video showing how to fold paper napkins:

Happy Ethel

Cleaning day and everything is out of their pen (you can briefly see it stacked to the left of the pen). Ethel was just feeling happy. After she and Bunya snacked on the choice hay bits that were under the stuff we moved, Bunya went to hide while we cleaned (he tries to avoid being picked up and groomed).

Ethel was just reveling in all the open space of their pen before we vacuumed. Wish I had caught it from the beginning. She was already winding down when I got the camera for the last 28 seconds of her happy feet happy dance.

Funny Bunny Monday Meme*day

Poe's human has set a high bar - hope the main course is impressive, too.
