Vanity license plate - HRUDUDU ... a quiz for you

Don't you love the four little bunnies across the bottom?
The owner of this license plate is a big-time bunny fan!
Can you interpret how we know this??? Well, just how much of a bunny fanatic are you? Submit your answers via comments to this post.

Another way (nothing to do with the license plate) to tell this is a friend to buns is the car owner's site, listed in Rabbit Resources in the right-hand column: Rabbit Health Central.

Lucy: Do you know the answer?
Bunya: Of course. You'd know I do if you checked my profile.

What happens when bunnies grocery shop

Never made it out of the produce department...

A Bunny Memorial Day

Bunya, grocery shopping: Now, where have those girls gotten off to?

Hey, wait, wait - we have to pay for this first!
Ohhhhh, we shouldn't grocery shop when we're hungry!

Finally, settled down on the picnic grounds in front of their pen,
the bunnies can enjoy the holiday spread.
And thank the members of the armed forces, past and present, that they have the freedom to do so.

Bunny things spotted at the Decatur Arts Festival

Went to the Decatur Arts Festival yesterday and found a few bunny things to show you...

Bunny family tree?

The name says it all.
You can see more of the above artist's works and contact her at Karen Fincannon.

Now this is how you recycle aluminum cans!
Of course, I found the one bunny in a menagerie of animals
and an amazing air force. Check out Can Do Planes.
They really are amazing and the props would turn in the breeze.

More of this wonderful art can be found at Bob Davis

If you missed the festival this year, put it on your calendar for next Memorial Day (see here).

HEY, YOU OUT THERE - LISTEN UP!

It's a holiday weekend.
Have a good time - but BE SAFE!
Don't make me open a can of disapproval on your butt.
You know them all:
Don't drink and drive.
Don't text and drive.
Don't drink and text.
When boating, wear a big orange life vest (we think those make you humans look funny).
Play with your bunnies and give them lots of treats!

And remember soldiers past and present.

More --- Bunnies Everywhere!

Spotted during a weekend trip...
Bunny cactus

Another bunny cactus
(both raised by my sister)

This was on a tiny tarnished cup.
It is a hand making a "V" or peace symbol.
Naaaah - it's making a bunny shadow!

This is a picture of a picture.
This artwork, a photograph, was of kitchen gloves.
This is a detail of the glove that looked like you-know-what.
Check out Rabbits Everywhere on bunspace, where you can see more sightings and submit your own (and see if these were added).

Bunny Sightings at London Portobello Market, Pt 2

The English are crazy about Peter Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland.

(The bears referred to in the sign
were mostly on shelves to the right of this shot.)

Eat more cows

Passing by a street corner magazine stand in Paris and what jumped* out at me?
* bunny pun
I had a friend translate for me: Should we eat animals? (Thanks, Christian)

Well, I don't eat meat but that decision is each individual's personal choice.
But if you eat meat - not bunnies!
Eat more cows! (The chickens made me say that. And chickens know how to spell, too)

Are bunny things stalking me?

We checked into our Paris hotel room and were unpacking when we noticed...
...decorative little bunnies on the top shelf of the bookcase.

This was getting spooky. How many bunny things had we spotted in this city?!?
They are starting to find me.
It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

Actually, I took this as a sign from above.
I really am nuts.

And yet, there are more bunny thing sightings to come...

Thursday, May 19, 2011

I went to the British Museum and all I got was...

... one little picture of a bunny thing ...

... a picture of a book that caught my eye,
in the gift shop, as I was on my way out.

To be fair, this place was vast, inside and out. You could spend a week or three exploring the place and all I had was one afternoon. So I'll let this slide and assume somewhere in the 95+% I did not see, there are other bunny photo ops awaiting the bun-demented.

Why a bunny shaped like an egg?

From another store window in Paris...

Maybe he was adopted from a rescue shell-ter.
Did they do this as some kind of yolk?
Or is it supposed to be egg-straordinary art?
This is your brain on rabbit.
Bunnies are too soft to be hard boiled.
Hope they didn't put all their bunnies in one basket.
Well, you are probably ova these puns.

These are just some egg-amples. I hope haven't poached your best yolks.
Crack your puns in Comments.

Another Bunny Shop Window in Paris

The last one was all blue (see this Bunny Shop Window in Paris).
Here's another one, for the girls who want all things bunny:
A doll with its own stuffed bunny toy.
All I could afford in this city was the pictures.

There's some junk blocking the display of the bunnies for sale. I guess the store was trying to sell other stuff, too.

Bunnies, take your marks and ... Action!

Anyone out there in bunny blog land able to name this movie and director?
(I'll be back later and add the answer to this post.)

Answer: The Lady Vanishes (1938); Alfred Hitchcock, director
(This unanswered post was originally up about a month ago.)

Rabbits Everywhere

The picture in the post below, Misnamed French Pastry,
was accepted by Rabbits Everywhere
on BunSpace: Rabbits Everywhere

This validates our renaming movement!
It's gathering momentum - keep up the good work!

Do you see "bunnies everywhere", too?
Send your submissions to admin@bunspace.com.

Bunny Shop Window in Paris

As noted in a prior post, Paris was the more bunny-rich environment and here is a good example - all in one display window...

What do you get for the baby that wants everything bunny?

Bunny puppet
Bunny hat

Stuffed bunny

Bunny bed mate

Stuffed bunny
SuperBunny costume?
BunnyBoy?
Maybe a robe

Bunny ???
Overall, Paris gives the impression it appreciates bunnies.
Still more to come. Same Bun-Time. Same Bun-Channel.

Bunny Postcard

Mostly, the trip was about sightseeing (and eating), but I found one souvenir I could not resist. The postcard below is by photographer Robert Doisneau (1912-1994).
The sign reads:
The Concierge is on the stairs
If you are interested, found a bio of the artist here: Robert Doisneau
This Postcard website has many scenes, but I was unable to find this one specifically. You can click on "Author" in the top left-hand column of the site and see a few pages of postcards by this photographer.

I may have to find a simple little frame for this and hang it in the bunnies' room.
