A Very Bunny Chanukah

Any bunny and Chanukah tie-ins???

Well, of course there are! Here are some examples ...
Bunnies lighting a menorah
is an animated ecard on doozycards.com
This bunny sitting on a carrot is a Menorah.
No longer available  :(

You can buy cards with a bunny and Chanukah theme here.
A bunny book about the holiday for little kids is available here.

Bunny and chocolate ... yum!

Don't think a bunny would
really eat a latke, but it's cute.

traditionally served on Chanukah.
Think of a really excellent little hash brown round.)

A Very Bunny Chanukah

One of the things I think about during the holiday season is the bunny picture I post for Christmas (this is the one time I'll tell you not to look back at older posts ... just wait). It is one of the cutest I have ever seen and look forward with anticipation to sharing it each year with Rabbit Ramblings readers.

But then I was wondering about Chanukah (or Hanukkah, Chanuka, Chanukah, Chanukkah, Channukah, Hanukah, Hannukah ... however you prefer to spell or pronounce it ... ask 2 people and you'll get 4 opinions).

Anyway, are there any bunny and Chanukah tie-ins???
Well, yes there are. And thanks to search engines and the world wide web, here are some examples ...

Anxious for Santa Paws

Meme says:
Wookie: Those trees are here again.
Tilly: I see... very pretty.
Wookie: Well, then, where are all the treats and toys? And the paper and boxes to chew?
Tilly: Have patience. The holiday is not here yet; the humans have Prime for 2-day shipping.
Wookie: I think Santa Paws is a human scam.
Tilly: If we get mass quantities of treats and toys, do you care?
Wookie: Point taken.

Father's Day bunny card

My son sent me this thoughtful and gorgeous Father's Day card (posted as soon as I got it... the mail was a little slow getting it to me). I've never seen a card like this. Open it so the back shows, too, and it forms a complete landscape. Really beautiful (picture doesn't do it justice).

Added to the Bunny Things page

(Thank you, M!)

Bunny Thing Gift

In a recent post, I noted that Dr. Mrs. Bunnymom brought me a couple of gifts from her recent business travels. This is the other bunny thing she brought me. I wish the pictures could do it more justice. It is a really beautiful piece of pottery ... amazing texture and bunnies everywhere.
Of course, it will be added to the Bunny Things page.

Bunny stamp gift

When I was little and my father had to travel on business, he would try to bring back a little tchotchke for me. Well, it seems that Dr. Mrs. Bunnymom is carrying on the tradition. She recently had a business trip to NM and walking down the street, happened into a little store where she found a bunny stamp for me to add to my collection (now totaling just 3).

There is another bunny thing she brought back, not a mere knickknack, but I don't have a picture of that yet. Soon. In the meantime, this is added to Bunny Things page with the hundreds of other bunny and bunny-like things observed.

Bunny Monday Meme*day - Shop!

Thanksgivukkah and Christmas are around the corner!
Head out to your local HRS chapter or animal shelter Hop Shop for gifts for your bunnies. Buying supplies and pet toys from their store helps support their rescue efforts.
And donations to charities in someone's honor make great gifts, too.

List of HRS chapters is here (left hand column).

Bunny gifts - for humans!

It's nice to have friends.
It's nice to have friends who take exotic vacations, like to Japan.
It's nice to have friends who would even give you a thought while on such a wonderful vacation, much less bring back gifts for you -- bunny gifts!!!

Bunny paper clips! I love these,
but I don't want to use them on any papers I give away.
Well, maybe to another bunny's human slave.

We each clipped a clip on our e-readers.

Can you see this beautiful material?
And it's got bunnies all over!
Maybe you can see the bunnies better in this detail.

These friends are pet lovers, too.
They have dogs.
Their dog's name is ...
Bunny!
Really!

Birthday bunny stuff

That time of year, for me, where the bunny birthday cards begin to appear in my mail...
From Margot Elena Tokyo Milk
I've got way more than a few "gray hares" ... of the ones that are left.

Another bunny card
Received an origami bunny
from my life-long friend...

...seems this style origami bunny
inspired a sculpture

BIG bunny sculpture -
Can you imagine how hard it was
to fold that sheet metal?!?

Bunny being installed roadside
You can read about the sculpture here and here.
Thanks, Hank, for the origami and the related links!

From my wife. Inside caption:
All I want to do
is snuggle up with you!
(Fun Pix from American Greetings)
Now, if we could just get our bunnies snuggling up again...

Bunny gifts

Not gifts for your bunnies, but bunny stuff you can give to humans as gifts.

My sister found this stuff:

Here's the web site I found: My Baby Pie, Authorized Mud Pie Baby Retailer

Just put "bunny" in the search engine and you'll find stuffed bunnies, bunny dishes, bunny dresses, and generally plenty of cute stuff to show your friends and relatives just how bunny nutz you are.

Happy shopping! Help stimulate the economy!

My Bunny Valentine

Got a bunny fetish for Valentines Day...
Well, guess I always have a bunny fetish.

It's small, about the size of my upper thumb joint, carved from a single piece of turquoise.
Even cuter in person.

(Yes, post title is a song reference.)
