Pet stamps!

And they included a bunny!
(Left side, 4th down)

Now, if we could only get a whole roll of stamps with nothing but bunnies...

Brings the collection up to 4, so not excessive (yet).
And perfect for bunny butt Friday (see RR Facebook page or Bunny Butts page).

Bunny stamp gift

When I was little and my father had to travel on business, he would try to bring back a little tchotchke for me. Well, it seems that Dr. Mrs. Bunnymom is carrying on the tradition. She recently had a business trip to NM and walking down the street, happened into a little store where she found a bunny stamp for me to add to my collection (now totaling just 3).

There is another bunny thing she brought back, not a mere knickknack, but I don't have a picture of that yet. Soon. In the meantime, this is added to Bunny Things page with the hundreds of other bunny and bunny-like things observed.

Bunny stamp kit from Mama Elephant

These are bunny stamps from Mama Elephant. Of course, they have other stamp kits - an incredible number, actually, with many different themes - but this is a bunny blog.

This particular kit ($15) contains 20 stamps (16 images and 4 sentiments). The stamps are not wood but clear, so you can stamp the rabbit and then add whatever "adornments" you want. They also have a wide selection of ink colors.

I went to order the bunnies but they were sold out! However, you can enter your email address so that you are notified when they are back in stock. They were on the Today Show this morning and if you enter the code TODAYSHOW, you get 10% off your entire purchase!

Oh, and here's their Facebook page.

P.S. If people want to buy kids a bunny for Easter - this is the bunny they should get to play with, not a live one!

Another kind of bunny stamp

Bunny postage stamps were explored in conjunction with the "Year of the Rabbit" (here and here).

These are a different kind of bunny stamp I found puttering around some shops...

Yes, yes, I did actually purchase these bunny things.
But in my defense, these two were not all the bunny style stamps they had.
So, it's under control...

Year of the Rabbit Stamp Revisited

Thank you thef1chik (Charla) for your "help" (love your e-name), which, if those of you out there in Rabbit Ramblings-land read comments as well, you may have noted she left as a comment on an earlier post:
Other countries honored the Year of the Rabbit with stamps.

Some even have RABBITS on them!
Here are some examples:

None of the other countries have KUMQUATS on them (see Year of the Rabbit Stamps). Okay, some of the rabbits on the other stamps look like they may have been designed by someone on a bad acid trip, or having tea with Peter Max ... maybe with Pikachu -- but they are still RABBITS!

Searching through Google images for the above, I happened upon a site where a LOT of stamps have been gathered: HopperHome. Check it out (but remember to come back to RR). This site has a huge amount of bunny data, encourages rescue/adoption and much more (note the "Prevent Hare Loss" banner at the bottom of the page - would that I could. Hair, I mean). Such a wealth of knowledge that I have added it as a Rabbit Resource in the right hand column. It's like a bunny encyclopedia by someone who cares.

Year of the Rabbit Stamps!

I received a package from my sister, on which she used stamps that were an assortment of characters from the Sunday funnies. And it made me think, "Hey, I wonder if there's a bunny stamp?"

And there is! Cool!

And it has a big picture of KUMQUATS on it.
Of course. I would expect no less.
When I think of kumquats, I can't help but think about bunnies...
maybe having them neutered (or spayed).

Oh, wait ... in the upper left hand corner is a tiny bunny. Neat. Obviously, my skills do not lie within the realm of art and design, because for the Year of the Rabbit, silly me would have made the RABBIT the big part of the design picture.

You can decide for yourself if there is a bunny stamp.
Or if it remains as elusive as Bigfoot, the Abominable Snowman and the Loch Ness monster. Bunya, Lucy & Ethel were sorely disappointed.
Do bunnies even eat kumquats?
Do you?

P.S. Sis, I got the package; this is your confirmation. Loved the stamps. Wish I could mail you something with some bunny stamps.

Hey, wait! Maybe in the Year of the Kumquat ...
