Speaking of "watch bunnies" (see yesterday's post)...
The bunnies have different styles in just about all things, including guard duty at the gate to their pen. Some bunnies are more alert (or high strung) than others.
Here are the girls on duty ...
... and then, there's Bunya on guard.
*sigh*
Did I mention that power napping is one of Bunya's super powers?
such cuties "sigh" whats not to love.
ReplyDeleteI read your backlink from super powers to treats mishap and had to share my own furball's desire for treats over breathing.
ReplyDeleteBenjamin LOOOOOOOVED his Annie's Ginger Bunny cookies. As in lovedlovedlovedlovedLOVED them. If I went to the kitchen and had to move the bag to wipe the counter, he was instantly at my feet looking for a cookie. One evening, he and Callie had chowed down on their nightly snack and I threw the empty bag in the trash, then headed off to bed.
About 30 minutes later I heard an odd noise that I initially thought was somebunny in the newspaper bin. When the noise continued, I got up to see what was going on. Wellllllll, Ben had decided that the empty bag wasn't really empty and had jumped into the trash bin to pull it out. So he was now wandering around the dining room with his upper body inside the bag and running into furniture and the wall in his effort to get the very last crumb out.
I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face and couldn't breath, so getting over the fencing to take the bag off his head was difficult. I eventually got it off and he looked more offended that I dared to take his fun away. While I was checking him out, to make sure nothing bad had happened to him, Callie decided that he just might have missed a crumb or two and had stuck her head inside!
A month or so later, I tossed a nearly empty cookie bag on the floor and proceeded to get video of Ben's antics ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdQDNZlbGP8&feature=plcp ). I love how, at the end, he does a side ways binky as if to say, "Hah, I got 'em!" Unfortunately he passed over the rainbow bridge in February, but I'm sure he's chasing ginger bunnies all over the place.
I wouldn't say he was disapproving in the video, but maybe disappointed. The twisty body binky was really cute. But the visual you put in my head at your description of bumping into the walls and furniture had me LOL. (And very sorry for your loss.)
